I am women,
I am brave.
I am women,
I won’t behave.

I am women,
hear my voice.
I am women,
my body –
my choice.

I am women,
I can act with grace,
I am women;
not simply a pretty face.

I am women,
I can feel
I am a women,
who uses this power for good,
and never for evil.

I am women
with thoughts and a brain.
I am women,
trust me,
I have a lot to say.

I am women,
and I am proud
for screaming from the rooftops,
the sky,
the clouds
that WE ARE WOMEN,
who will no longer be
pushed down.

We are women,
and we are strong.
WE are Women,
together –
that’s where we belong

I know that technically International Women’s Day was yesterday, but I realised that I really wanted to do something, even if it was a small token, for the blog. I hope you know, that we ladies are more powerful together than apart and it is so magical when you see other women building each other up, instead of down. I didn’t write it in the poem, but we are fearless and we have the right to speak our minds, our opinions, to wear what we like, be who we want to be and to do what makes us truly happy – that is something every human is entitled to. Happy ladies day for yesterday and let’s continue to empower and extend love to the ladies around us. Remember: yesterday was our day, but so will tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that.
